3 islands in an
area of 5km (île de Batz, 15 minuts by boat from Roscoff - one day
of visit by bicycle or by foot), île de Calot and île de Sieck (2
hours walking there in the morning is like a dream coming true - if
it is not paradise, it is not far away...) |

Roscoff is
situated on the GR34 what in France is called "circuit national
pédestre de Grande Randonnée : it means a walking path for pedestrian
classified at the national level. This walking path goes from Morlaix
to Brest and is know as the most beautiful of Brittany.

Do you know
thalassotherapy was created in France in Roscoff 102 years ago.
The Thalasso building is opened for public everyday at 5pm (for
15 euros you've got a sea swimming polol at 30°C, hammam, jacuzzi
and it's only 200 meter from our house). Nice to do after a day
visiting the old castles, churches or attraction of the area !

the Thalado, a center providing all information on algae treatment
and use.

Restaurants :
that's a good idea to test French way of life... we recommend you :
Gulf stream, temps de Vivre, Ecume des jours and Talabardon, all not
far away from the house (from 200m for Gulf Stream to 1km for Ecume
des jours) - another one excellent in Saint Pol de Leon : La Pomme
d'Api. (4km)

Casino, pubs and disco... for young and not so young people
|

buy your fish,
crabs and lobsters directly to the fisherman on the port (the daily
fisherman usually come back to the port around 5-6pm ) - Cheap and
honest.

and in the
area, the cities of Morlaix, Saint Pol de Leon, Brest (40km - see
Oceanopilis, a seapark for adult and children), castles and old
churchs
|

without
forgetting the superb beaches of Roscoff, Santec and Cléder
|

and so on (very
nice tropical gardens...)

Aournd 1 km from the house you find many restaurants and pub. Also the port where you can take a boat to ile de Batz, the island in front of Roscoff. We recommend this trip during your stay : amazing ! - during summer time you have a boat every 20 minutes)
